One of three accredited gardens in the Carolinas, the Raleigh Rose Garden at RLT is the display garden for all new roses presented by the All American Rose Society. The grounds include sixty beds with 56 varieties of roses with hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, miniatures and antiques.
The Raleigh Rose Garden can be reserved for special occasions and is an ideal spot for smaller, simpler events. Decorations are unnecessary with the parade of roses that bloom from late May until fall's first frost in October or November. Both the fountain and the small stone shelter at either end of the garden make lovely back drops for wedding ceremonies and other gatherings.
If you are looking for a natural setting with little or no extra decoration, the Raleigh Rose Garden is an excellent choice.
Note: The office hours for the Special Events Coordinator are Monday, 9:00 am. to 12 noon.
Reservations through December 31, 2013 can be made now. Reservations for 1/1/2014-6/30/2014 will be accepted starting in June 2013.
