Preview of Snoopy!!!Raleigh Little Theatre Preview Charlie Brown and the “Peanuts” gang Raleigh Little Theatre will present Snoopy!!! The Musical on Nov. 6-8, 12-15, and 20-22 in its Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre. RLT’s associate education director Kathleen Rudolph will stage this 1982 Off-Broadway musical comedy, which features music by Larry Grossman, lyrics by Hal Hackady, and a book by Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, Warren Lockhart, Arthur Whitelaw, and Michael L. Grace, based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz (1922-2000). According Raleigh Little Theatre: “Snoopy!!! is a musical comedy by Larry Grossman and Hal Hackady that is based on Charles M. Schulz’ comic strip ‘Peanuts.’ This sequel to the musical You’Re A Good Man, Charlie Brown [1967] focuses more on the life of Snoopy [Mark Ridenour]. The show contains over 15 toe-tapping tunes performed by Charlie Brown [Brian Fisher], Lucy [Rebecca Leonard], Sally [Lela Johnston], Linus [Jon Todd], Peppermint Patty [Katie Bottomley], Woodstock [Brent Wilson], and one loveable beagle. This charming, warm-hearted musical is full of laughs and life lessons on friendship and believing in yourself. Scenes are taken from memorable sequences right out of the beloved comic strip, ranging from The Great Pumpkin to the psychiatrist’s office. The play delights with the quiet knowledge and wit of its characters.” In addition to director Kathleen Rudolph, the RLT creative team for Snoopy!!! includes choreographer Leah Landau, musical director Mary Kathryn Walston, assistant to the director John Molloy, technical director and scenic designer Jim Zervas, lighting designer Andy Parks, costume designer Jenny Butler, properties master Mike McGee, sound designer Becca Easley, and stage manager Scotty Wray.
