About the show

Three Cubed by Johannah Maynard Edwards is a zany mash-up of the tales of “The Three Little Pigs,” “The Three Bears,” and “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.” A trio of math experts narrate as they try to prove their theory that “Math Saves Lives” while teaching these characters a thing or two. Mama Bear will learn to measure in order to make a better bowl of porridge, Goldilocks will figure out how to read a map so she never gets lost in the woods again, and those Little Pigs will learn a little something about construction! In this comedy where awesome things come in threes, the ensemble will have an opportunity to develop some material and encourage audience participation.

About auditions

Auditions will consist of movement exercises, improvisations, cold readings from the script, and ensemble building exercises. Those auditioning should be prepared to stay for the entire audition time. The Director is looking for vocal projection, enunciation and expression; the ability to create a variety of characters; and a desire to grow as an actor.

Those auditioning are not required to bring a prepared monologue. Candidates are asked to come dressed in comfortable clothing allowing for freedom of movement and closed toe “sneaker” type shoes. Those with longer hair are encouraged to wear it in a manner that prevents their faces from being hidden.
