The classes below are sorted by start date Access Theatre Now!Ages: Flexible This class gives students with physical, emotional, learning and developmental disabilities an opportunity to gain self-esteem, improve social and communication skills and explore new modes of self-expression – all in a non-competitive, structured atmosphere. Each session will culminate in an open classroom highlighting the individual talents of all involved. Support staff is welcome. No previous experience necessary. Limit 12 students. Cost: $90 per session TUESDAYS, 4:30 – 5:30 PM Session I: September 6 – October 18 Instructor: Susan Meyer To enroll, please send in the registration form (PDF) Play On! SATURDAY SESSION 3 FULLAges: 8 – 9 Class focus: Students will continue to explore story dramatization but with more emphasis on group work and improvisation. No previous experience necessary. Limit 18 students. Cost: $95 per session WEDNESDAYS, 4:30 – 5:45 PM Wednesday Session III: Who Done It? Wednesday Session IV: Destination Theatre Instructor for Wednesday sessions: Susan Meyer SATURDAYS, 10:45 AM – 12 NOON Saturday Session III: Who Done It? FULL Saturday Session IV: Destination Theatre Instructor for Saturday sessions: Susan Meyer To enroll, please send in the registration form (PDF) Hilarious Homeschoolers (APEX)Ages: 8 – 13 Students will explore story dramatization with emphasis on group work and improvisation. There will be a “Sharing” for family and friends on the last day of class. No experience necessary. Raleigh Little Theatre instructs. Limited to 12 participants. THURSDAYS, 2:00 - 3:00 PM Session I: Session II: Instructor: Kathleen Rudolph Registration: Please call the Halle Cultural Arts Center directly at 919-249-1120. Play On (APEX)Ages: 8 – 10 Free your imagination and discover yourself on stage! Through scripted scenes, students will explore character development, memorization skills, character relationships and teamwork. Each session ends with a “Sharing” for parents and friends. No experience necessary. Limit 14 students.
