Access Theatre Now!

Ages: Flexible

This class gives students with physical, emotional, learning and developmental disabilities an opportunity to gain self-esteem, improve social and communication skills and explore new modes of self-expression – all in a non-competitive, structured atmosphere. Each session will culminate in an open classroom highlighting the individual talents of all involved. Support staff is welcome. No previous experience necessary. Limit 12 students.

Cost: $90 per session
7 instructional hours

TUESDAYS, 4:30 – 5:30 PM

Session I: September 6 – October 18
Session II: October 25 – December 13 (no class Nov 22)
Session III: January 10 – February 21
Session IV: March 13 – May 1 (no class Apr 3)

Play On! SATURDAY SESSION 3 FULL

Ages: 8 – 9

Class focus: Students will continue to explore story dramatization but with more emphasis on group work and improvisation. No previous experience necessary. Limit 18 students.

Cost: $95 per session
8.75 instructional hours

Wednesday Session III: Who Done It?

To celebrate RLT’s March production of The Adventures of Nate the Great, we will bring to life some favorite mystery stories, such as Nancy Drew and Scooby-Doo... Where are you?

Wednesday Session IV: Destination Theatre
4:30 – 5:45 PM
March 14 – May 2 (no class April 4)
Students will explore various environments such as the school, the jungle, the moon and maybe even the dusty attic to create exciting original stories.

Saturday Session III: Who Done It? FULL

Hilarious Homeschoolers (APEX)

Ages: 8 – 13

Students will explore story dramatization with emphasis on group work and improvisation. There will be a “Sharing” for family and friends on the last day of class. No experience necessary. Raleigh Little Theatre instructs. Limited to 12 participants.

Play On (APEX)

Ages: 8 – 10

Free your imagination and discover yourself on stage! Through scripted scenes, students will explore character development, memorization skills, character relationships and teamwork. Each session ends with a “Sharing” for parents and friends. No experience necessary. Limit 14 students.
